Montgomery Electrical Training Alliance

Our Mission

The Montgomery Electrical Training Alliance trains highly skilled and qualified electricians.

All of our apprentices obtain their Alabama State Journeyman Electrician License prior to their graduation.

Our Program

We offer training with no out of pocket tuition cost. 

The only cost to you is your books and personal tools for the job.

Our 5 year program is an earn while you learn, meaning that you get paid to learn to become an electrician!

Journeyman Wireman Apprenticeship Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Birth Certificate
  • Proof of passing one year of Algebra (High school or college transcripts)
  • Application Fee
  • DD-214 (Military Only)

Dont Have Algebra?

Click on the link below for the online Tech Math course that meets the Algebra requirement for our apprenticeship. 


You will need to register, pay, and complete the course on your own and submit proof of your completion as part of your completed application.
